When the depot was brought back to town more than 30 years, a group of gardening friends was asked if they would take it upon themselves to beautify and maintain the area around the building.

Those friends became the core of what is known today as the Upland Garden Club.

Every spring we clean up and choose new plants to put in the pots around the Depot. We weed the garden beds, prune the perennials, refresh the annuals, and set a rotating schedule to water and maintain the area throughout the summer.

We all share a love for growing something beautiful.

At our monthly meetings we update the members of our club on the progress at the Depot, as well as share tips and best practices for our own gardens.
